The structural and magnetic nature of single-crystal layered magnetic materials
An ongoing PhD investigating the structural and magnetic nature of single-crystal layered magnetic materials, drawing on the exchange-bias and CrSBr tunnelling-magnetoresistance work carried out in the Kläui group. The thesis is not yet submitted or defended; a full public abstract will follow submission.

PhD in experimental physics, Kläui group, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Started September 2022, expected to conclude in 2026.
The thesis draws together the two core lines of the PhD: exchange bias in van der Waals heterostructures (three published papers plus an invited perspective) and tunnelling magnetoresistance in CrSBr (manuscript in preparation). Both are covered in more depth on the research pages and in the Papers tab of this Library.
This thesis is not submitted and not defended. The working title and topic above are sourced from the vault's current thesis-topic statement; the final title, the full abstract, and a defence date are not yet fixed and will need updating here once the thesis is submitted.
